A-CORNy Bailout

September 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We all know the ACORN involvement in causing the financial meltdown, not to mention Obama’s democratic involvement.  Why in the H*LL are the democrats still being allowed to have oversight of the bailout?  It is time to lock the doors to all of those corrupt politicians and let someone with no stake in the deal construct the bill.  Am I the only one with enough sense to see that???

And if that is not enough, the CEO’s of the bankrupt companies are walking away with no blame, strapping on their “platinum-parachutes.”

Someone tell me why the CEO’s of all these failed companies are allowed to walk away with their hundreds of millions of dollars of retirement funds, and severance packages.  For goodness sake, we grabbed a hold of the Enron executives and held them responsible, but these bailout crooks are walking free.  I want someone held responsible, and I want some of them to go to jail.  Do not pass Go, do not collect $200!!  I want the spotlight of focus turned onto the ones who over saw this crisis, and also to the ones who contributed to it.

But honestly, I do not think it is going to happen, and those CEO’s with their ‘golden parachutes’ will be landing on some tropical island far away from the US.

What Would Sarah Do…

What Would Sarah Do?  WWSD

I mean no offense to Jesus or the WWJD crowd (which includes me).  But Sarah Palin is a role model that has restored my faith in calm conservatism.  From the moment she entered the scene, Sarah and her family have been stripped bare and put on a pedestal for all to judge.

So, how did she react, with tears and accusations?  Not even close.  She stood calmly and conservatively, as if to say, “Ok, seen enough?  Can we get back down to business now?”

Thatis something to behold.  When others are attacking you from all sides, and life seems almost unbearable, stand tall, stand proud, and dont waver.

You know, for too long I’ve fretted and worried about what others thought, and I wasted my precious time and energy trying to make everyone else like me.  For too long, as a wife and mother, I’ve been quietly shielding my conservative views because it was pounded into me that there was no such thing as a conservative woman.

Well enough is enough.  I can be proud of who I am, and I am not ashamed to say Sarah impresses the heck outta me.  She is a strong, smart leader, and a woman who handles the pressure gracefully and with pride.

For pete’s sake, if Palin can raise five kids, manage a state, and do it all dodging slimy bullets in high heeled shoes, than I can do it too.

I’ve learned that when people are throwing criticisms at me, or my day has been really crappy, I can take it.  When difficult challenges change the course of my life, I can take it, and not be afraid.  Not only can I take it, but I can stay true to my moral compass, and come out ahead.  Sarah Palin has been an inspirational force for that to happen.

It’s not just her speeches, and it’s not just her family.  Palin’s integrity shines past her words. She truely believes the people she represents, are her boss.  All people, not just liberals or democrats, republicans or independents.  She’s vowed to work for all of us.   Political polls and Internet rumors do not change her positions or sway her responses.

No, she stays the course, and she’s done it all along.  So you gotta ask yourself, WWSD?

Enter Sarah Palin, and the rest is history.
