Should We Pray?

October 6, 2008 · 3 Comments

In these trying times, it is hard to think anything will ever get better. We are all reexamining our recent past to see what, if anything, could have been done.

I think as things get more difficult, one tends to turn toward their core values to get back, or even stay, on track.  I have edged closer to my own core values also.

A great man reminded me of a great principle.  Everything works for the Greater Good.

He explained that, everything works for the Greater Good. Not…everything good, but the good, the bad and the ugly work for the Greater Good.

When I hold true to the values in my heart, I make the right decision every time.  Additionally, I think we should pray for our country, and we should pray for our current and future leaders.

One should never forget that our country is one of the best places to live, and we can show our pride by getting out to vote. There are millions who do not have that privilege, and subsequently don’t share that pride in their corner of the world.

We can make a Bigger Difference.  Please be sure to get out and vote.  McCain-Palin gets my vote.  God bless America.

Julie, I don’t know you other than through the SCE group and a few e-mail exchanges. You seem like a wonderful person. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know I share so many of your values and opinions!
    Go McCain/Palin!!!! :)

Thanks Peggy G. Your pretty wonderful yourself. I do want to say that parents of children who have special needs are a different breed. It seems no matter what type of person we were before, we were changed for the better when our child came into our life. That kind of perspective gives us hope that the world can be a better place. If I can turn from a selfish depressed person to who I am today, then someone else can also. When we each make that very realization the world will change.

I love your video. I linked over from the DSACT yahoo group. I especially like the “I’m Alive” music. I do believe that we should pray. We are in a sticky place as a nation and I think hitting our knees a great place to start. I am excited about the chatter that has already taken place because of Palin. She has been a great awarenss vehicle already. I read a post at another site that said, “But what has she done for us, nothing”. I thought GEEZ, her son was 5 months old when she was announced as a candidate and we only have one more month to election. Give her a break… what we each of us doing when our child was 5 months old? We were being parents. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Love the post and the video!
